WE’VE PUT GREAT INTENTIONALITY INTO BUILDING OUR TEAM, AND WE PUT THE SAME MINDSET INTO THE OTHER VENDORS WE CHOOSE TO WORK WITH.

I LOVE meeting new vendors at weddings, it's one of my favorite parts of the job. But I gotta say, when I talk to couples about their wedding plans and they list some of my friends that they're working with, I get reallllly excited knowing that we're all going to be able to work together to make sure that we execute your vision as cohesively as possible.

When I think about who I want to work with, I consider a few things. On the outside, their creative choices and how well their products or services match aesthetically with the way that I shoot and color grade.  And on the other side, their personality, their professionalism and their inclusivity.

If you're looking for a cake

with drama & personality

It's no secret that Rachel is one of my favorite artists and a close personal friend and I recommend her to all of my brides.

If you like my style, then you're probably into bold colors and dramatic shots, and there's no one that pulls that off better than Rachel. I love her use of color and texture, her unique flavor combinations, our shared love of black and Halloween and skull-themed desserts. But really, the quality that I value the most about her is her laid back personality and her dedication to the people she cares about (and if you're working with someone on a day as important as your wedding, don't you want a dedicated team that legitimately cares about you?)

INSIDER TIP:  Let her work her magic and create a cake based on general inspo.

If you're looking for a florist

to execute your vision

If you're looking for a DJ

to keep the party going

I have to admit that before I got into weddings I greatly undervalued the importance of what an amazing DJ will bring to the table.  Curating a great music list that will keep the crowd moving? That's only one small part of what a great DJ does.

When I think of DJ's that I want to work with time and time again, I'm going to recommend the ones who have experience and energy to make everyone feel welcome on the dance floor and keep them moving for the night so that all of your guests have a memorable experience.

But equally important is the back-end experience-- when we're doing video we really have to rely on the DJ's to work with us to get important audio like ceremony and toasts, and make sure that we're all on the same page about the timeline so that we're set up and ready for the next event.
