I know you want all of your best friends to have a blast at your wedding – so we try and keep this part short and simple so that you guys can go back to the fun parts of your day. Unless you tell me that you have a preference otherwise, I only do a few formal photos of the wedding party as a whole.
For all of our weddings, we recommend doing the wedding party photos as early in the day as possible.
If you do a first look, then we can do the entire wedding party before the ceremony. If not, then we’ll just do each respective side before hand and save the group shots for after the family photos.
The general breakdown goes like this, and we allocate about 20 minutes for each part:
Part 1: Bride with her people, as a group. Bride with each individual bridesmaid.
Part 2: Groom with his people, as a group. Groom with each individual groomsmen.
Part 3: Entire wedding party together
There won’t be very many parts of the day when I ask you to “look at the camera and smile”, but this is one of them. The prompts will typically include a smiling shot, a GQ/Vogue shot (so practice that RBF, smize or Blue Steel), and a chance to be silly or sweet.
